I walked into the kitchen to the smell like what can be described as overripe cheese. Its aroma can be overpowering and offensive permeating the house sometimes, but the flavor is sweet. I couldn't resist.
Some describe it, 'awesome fruit smells bad but tastes good'.
These were bought at RM50 for 4 durians. We calculated and they were RM2 - RM2.5 per pulp of durian we ate from the 4 durians.
According to my 6yo nephew after we all had finished our portion each, he insisted that we pour water on durian rind and wash our hands as the water runs off the rind then use the same rind and drink from it with added in a pinch of salt to wash away the sticky durian breath from our mouths. It works!
