Why is it that some people behave in prejudicial when they see people around them wearing masks? Is it because they think that these people are either paranoid or afraid of swine flu or they think these people are contaminant? Afraid of swine flu, A (H1N1) or 'selsema babi' as you'd call it.
Ain't you afraid?
It does irritate me somehow after reading some cynical posts or like, 'why are these people afraid of swine flu?' or 'I'm not afraid of swine flu and it does not limit me from traveling around the world...' and the other kinds of self-perception rantings and or etc., and I find it's most irritating reading the recent prejudicial and mockery update status of a 16yo I have on my facebook on those wearing masks at shopping malls to the extend of forming a party calling all her facebook friends to join her in going around ripping off their masks. Well, maybe she has a perfect life or maybe she is thinking that her immunity system is so great she is immune to any disease in the world but I'm reckoning not everyone is as lucky as she is.
A (H1N1) influenza can be fatal to humans, as of yesterday it has claimed 32 lives nationwide. It is not like as you think if you are contracted with the virus, you'd get antiviral treatment from the government hospital and enjoy one week off (quarantine) and on the other point however, it's either you're lucky or you are unlucky. You are lucky if you're contracted with the virus, fallen ill and pull through or otherwise although we were told, those who were at high-risks are those with low immunity and although many people had fallen ill, many people had also recovered only some died but still one could get a fatal attack. With the number of cases increasing each day, we should be concerned.

It was raining in Sibu while I was composing this post, the AXN movie on astro in front of me went out of service with a message across the screen 'Services currently not available'. As of today, Sibu has been recording the highest API in the state with reading at 250 on Sunday and yesterday's morning the sun at 8am was 'gorgeous'.

Running my index finger across the bonnet of the car this morning, I can feel the amount of ashes from the haze through the night on my finger and that's how much particles from the smog we could possibly be inhaling in from this haze phenomenon. Imagine those with asthma and the consequences they could be facing during this time. So, do take care of yourself.
