Now back to Miri.
If you are in Miri, the most famous and well known seafood eatery is at Taman Selera, Tanjung Lobang with an elegant ambience lingers in the sea breeze or sea breeze gently grace your face.

Besides, Taman Selera is the nearest seafood eatery from where the two well known Hotels along Jalan Tanjung located namely Everly Parkcity and Marriott Hotel.

On the weekends the place is crowded with people both coming for weekend break and a swim in the sea or taking family members out for seafood, nice cooling coconut juice while enjoying magnificent sunset view.

From Tanjung Beach you can see standing far away Seahorse Lighthouse and Beach House, they were built at the edge of the bay, you won't miss it especially if you take a walk on the beach and at the jetty. That's Marina Bay.

And if you are new to Miri, you are most probably not be able to find where Marina Bay is because there is no signboards that can lead you to Marina Bay unless you ask around, unlike Taman Selera which can be seen as you drive along Jalan Tanjung, Marina Bay is about another 1 mile drive in from Marina Park which is also the same junction as you drive in to ~~Miri Fishery~~ (sorry it wasn't Miri Fishery as mentioned earlier on, it's a proposed Flood for Mitigation Works for Miri city CBD area) however the main entrance to Marina Park is usually closed to the public.

According to rumors, the bay was constructed by SAMLING many years ago, and now it's been sold to someone else (I do not know who). I've seen the plan for the future of Marina Bay, it will be a housing estate.

The whole estate will be something like the Palm Island (Dubai) project. The plan can be seen in their office, the office is just right next to Haru-Machi Restaurant (The building next to Everly Parkcity Hotel). A little rumors has it, the project has come to a stop due to its financial problems.

A building for Seafood Restaurant was just completed recently, it has a Balinese style where you can find Balinese carving walls and the 'Minangkabau' style club house. Very intriguing.

From Marina Bay the view across the river is Miri town center. Can you spot Canada Hill Church? On the hill stands a magnificent modern church building over seeing the city of Miri.

The church building was constructed immediately after the rumors has it (again) that SAMLING may want to buy over that piece of land from the church and under the Miri city development project to develop Canada Hill or it's more known as Bukit Telaga Minyak on government official Miri's map.
