The motor sounds of RC boats racing can be heard few blocks away from the Lake Park. It's almost similar to the sound of chainsaws in the deep jungle at night few kilometers away from a small village on the northern of Sarawak I once visited in the early days. The sound of chainsaws would go on until the wee hours of the morning.
A local native once told us, those were 'jungle ghosts' imitating the sound of chainsaws.
With jogging track along the lake and shelters, nice view, great place for a weekend picnic and a great place for a pensive afternoon walk as well.
Somehow it would be a awesome place to see swans swimming in the lake or maybe few ducks :) the water is calm, however swimming is not allowed in the lake.
Which reminds me of, a lake. If any of you have been to Sarawak State Library at Petra Jaya, Kuching there's a big lake with a family of ducks swimming in a line moving around the lake, they would come near for feeds when someone standing at the edge of the lake. I was one of the regulars to the State Library then and had seen those ducks grow from yellowish baby ducklings to full grown white ducks.
It was interesting to see them moving when a leader moves the rest will follow in a line like a love as the invisible force that holds a family together...

When the sun is about to set in the warm afternoon, the children can be seen taking a dip in the cold water shallow man-made lake enjoying themselves.
