Today, we tried to finish what we have to finish before tomorrow. A little bit last minute cleaning, hanging of decorative items around the house and beautify the garden... Most houses in the neighboring who are celebrating have lanterns light up. Sibu looks so Chinatown with lanterns, so colorful :)

Some random things around the house.

Red packet hanging from pussy willow.

Items in the hamper from Sarwaja Timur.

Chinese knots. In Chinese, "knot" means reunion, friendliness, peace, warmth, marriage, love, etc. In addition, "knot" and "luck, felicity" sound quite alike, so Chinese knots are often used to express good wishes, including happiness, prosperity, love and the absence of evil.

Some little buckets with Chinese character.

My nephew's kindy class CNY card he made himself.

Inside the card, hand written, 'Mom and dad, happy new year!' So sweet! :)

This year I missed the 'Kong Sii' bazaar where the crowds made merry. It has been raining a lot. I'd rather stay at home trying to get some last minute thing done.
