The moment we hit the stretch of road where monopoles transmitting 33kv line stood apart 100m from each other along the roadside, the boss uttered out, 'look!...' in satisfaction. I looked, paying full attention although they were only boring monopoles I've seen everywhere, take a kid with you he would probably be asking, 'what's so interesting about those poles?'

Nothing interesting about those monopoles. We (the team) built them, that makes contented feeling bubbling somehow.

Sarawak Energy's aiming to improve power transmission capacity in the region following the state rapid development.

The moment we arrived at the site, about 20 young local men, tanned skin, fit body in their everyday casual t-shirts and rubber slippers on their feet gathered around charcoal bbq pits where fish, meat, chicken wings being cooked over the pits that released bbq aroma in the air.

The simple thanksgiving under the afternoon heat, zinc roofing site's store marked the completion of the project and soon everyone's heading home taking a few weeks break before the next work's calling.
