The weather is usually very dry in late autumn, and hill fires are easily started, either by carelessly-discarded cigarettes or during our Cantonese Chung Yeung "Grave Cleaning" Festival.Burning hillsides are often doused by means of huge buckets, suspended beneath government helicopters.
